In 2007 The University of the Fraser Valley began the process of moving their Chilliwack campus to a new site and a master plan was developed to facilitate the transition. Formerly The University College of the Fraser Valley, the UFV undertook a rebranding process to reflect the change in their status from a college to a university.

DK worked together with Chernoff Thompson Architects to develop pedestrian oriented master plans for both the Abbostsford and Chilliwack campuses. The Chilliwack master plan was designed to take advantage of the natural surroundings and proposes that the campus be linked through a series of interconnected courtyards and tied together by a tree lined pedestrian mall running the length of the campus. As part of the rebranding process, a review was done of the existing wayfinding and signage at the Abbostford campus and a new set of design standards were developed. From the standards developed for the campus signage a new entry sign was designed and built as a gateway to the Abbotsford Campus.
